The 23-year-old beauty from Seattle Shanzay Hayat was crowned Miss Pakistan World 2013 at the conclusion of the pageant held at the Red Rose Convention Centre in Mississauga on Friday night of August 30th, 2013. However, she is not going to represent the country in the Miss World pageant (as the title may mislead you) but will represent Pakistan in the Miss Earth 2013 pageant.
The first runner-up was Asiya Flower, 22, from Mississauga and the second runner-up was Gizella Mandi, 24, from Oshawa. The third runner-up was Syeda Naqvi, 20, from Brampton and the fourth runner-up was Karishma Khogiani who also won the Miss Photogenic award.
At the same event, Shayan Farooqi beat out seven other contestants to win the title of Mr Pakistan 2013. His court includes the first runner-up Javed Maher, the second runner up Talha Ahmad.
This year marks the third edition of Mr Pakistan pageant and the 11th edition of Miss Pakistan World pageant.
Miss Pakistan World is the only Pakistani beauty pageant for women of Pakistani origin held in the host city of Mississauga, Ontario. The pageant’s contestants are women with mostly Pakistani heritage from Pakistan, the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Europe.
